To my experience , Dimond Jambo Lawn ...... you can purchase it from a good carpet shop ....available in different prices starting from 10/11 rupees per Sq ft and goes to 15/17 rupees PSF according to thickness.... comes in roll, you can cut it according to your requirements ....I used it for my bird set up as heat insulator under steel sheets from inside of roof and some portion of wall also from inside..I found it more durable & easy to instal then Thrmopore sheets.I am attaching some pictures of jumbo lawn fixing :( .Jumbo lawn is fixed with bolts and nuts witch are welded to angel Iron sports of roof. ............. and by the way nice new signatures you have HA HA HA HA

Good idea Imran bhai

Infact very practical too.
What I have don is that I have tried putting up three layers. Top layer obviously is tin sheets and the lower layer is of CHIKH supporting thermopore which is sandwiched between tin and the chikh. I will try to post snaps if I find time INSHAALLAH. Everything is supported by metal square pipe and fastened with the bolts going across the layers. There is an angle welded on top of the roof which prevents the sheets flying away in case of gusty winds.

Thank you Mir sb. for the pictorial guidance, the only difference in your and mine setup is that the roof of your setup is well above the cages and mine is hardly 5-6 inches, will "Jumbolon" work ??

Thanks for liking...............:)

Dear Sir G
I think Jumbo lawn will work for your set up too.But you have to fix it firmly to keep it out of the reach of the beaks of your birds so they could not be able to chew Jumbo. For firm fixing I pulled out all cages from master cages because of welding work.I also used "Samad Bond" & steel strings (Lohay kee taar) for additional support although these were not necessary.

Sir G

In May & June Lahore used to be 44+ (Hotter then Wah) :( ...Jumbo Lawn is enough for heat proofing even from direct sun light if you get the thicker one .... baqi beaks ka ilaj to aap hee soch saktay haeen apnay set up kay hissab say ... Waisay kisi parrot kee beak 5/6 inch lambi to nahi hoti ;)

I agreed with you Sir jee, Last week meray Sun Conures ney Chaina jali kaat di thi aur 3 pairs mai say 3 birds cage say bahir phir rehay thay , wo to shukar hey kay master Cage kay dono door bund thay. inn birds say worst thing ki umeed rakhni chahiay.
I was thingking that they can not cut this small cage, but they done the job easily, there were 2 big wholes and 1 small whole in that cage.

Mir sb,
very good idea & it will be very helpful to cover-up the shade specially in this hot season...

-Few questions are in my mind, I would really appreciated for your response.
1- How many temperature can be reduce / exhaust after installing this type of sheet? If temperature is 40c out the shade then what temp will be under the sheet?
2- I am planning to build a master cage with covering roof by corrugated sheets, Do corrugated sheets are enough to exhaust the heat or there is also need of some other insulation material like “Diamond Jumbo Lawn”
3- Can java & finches chew this insulation material? if they left to fly in master cages as I am thinking to fit it by screw & supporting rod ?

boss kam ruka para hai load shedding ki waja se..or ooper roof ka zikar hai insulation ka nahi..thermopore is cheapest option....mera sara dehan current setup main birds ko heat se bachanay per hai...

answer is thermapore sheet is cheaper then jumbo go for it as you have to use sporting material for both thrmapore sheets and jumbo, then why wasting money on same material of high cost as both have same in heat resistance... you have to take measures to keep these sheets safe from finches ... use plastic sheets to cover them ... carogated sheets do need heat proofing

Mir sb, aoa, though its an old topic but need a little recommendation.
the jambolan which you used is really a Diamond jambolan ? I mean I have visited many carpet shops and they have jambolan but not of Diamond and they have some different companies. than I have called diamond depot in Rawalpindi for price check.

the price of jambolan on carpet shops (not of Diamond) varies between 10 to 25 rupee per square foot a little less than 1 inch thick. and Diamond Jambolan is if 59 rupee per square foot. 1.5 inch thick.

and I think cheaper product wont work under the tin sheet , so I want to know which Jambolan you used and what you recommend, I am in processing of building a shed on roof top and really like idea of jambolan under the tin sheet.

Without thermopore sheets..if outside temperature is 40 and bird room wallls and roof is exposed to direct sun....to inside temperature 40 se ooper he ho ga.....thermopore has no effect in reducing the inside temperatures....it simply prevents the transfer of heat into air from heated surfaces like celings and walls... So thermopore alone is not a solution to reduce tmperature..u need some coolant( air cooler) with thermopore to lock the cool air into room...werna room ki base ka temperature kam hota hai or top ka zayada..jis se cages k upper portion k birds discomfort rehtya hain....

Thermopre se zayada effective hai k aap bird room ki walls or roof ko direct dhoop se bachaain..u can use a green shading cloth for this purpose...

I have recently complete my new setup using 2 inch thormopore sheet with 2x2 pipe frame. Considering water and other problems I use iron sheet on the outer side and lasani half inch sheet inside. I am now much satisfy with my new setup. Although it is not reducing the inside temperature but after installation of air cooler temperature of my shed is not increasing more then 30. some pics attached for idea.
